James Leonard

Head of Education, Google

In James's six years with Google for Education, he has worked with senior leadership teams to innovate with Google technology. Drawing upon his experiences as a classroom teacher, James knows all too well that rolling out technology is much more than simply buying kit. Moving to a truly collaborative learning environment supported by technology is about changing hearts and minds -- it involves vision setting, culture change, pedagogy shift, and ongoing support. James has been a featured speaker at edtech conferences across the US and UK including ISTE, BETT, and EdTechUK. He studied Political Science at Boston College and completed graduate studies in Urban Education at Loyola Marymount University.
