Mark Beach BA (Hons), MA (Ed), Ad.Dip.Ed Mark is Head of Sherborne House school in Hampshire, a position he has held for the past two years. In June 2021 the school was awarded an ‘Excellent in all areas’ rating from the ISI. He was previously Headmaster of Parkside School, Cobham, Head of the Junior School at City of London Freemen’s in Ashtead Park and Head of Longacre School in Guildford. After thirty years’ experience in the education sector he has accumulated an excellent understanding of independent education after tenures in a variety of preparatory schools. He is a registered school inspector, is currently and has held appointments on a number of governing bodies and as a non-executive committee member on numerous sector specific boards. With a career history in delivering high impact transformative change in complex environments, Mark has specialisms in change management and leadership, counselling, coaching and mentoring and developing resilience in leaders. He is an active member of both the Independent Association of Prep Schools and the Independent Schools Association. Mark is also a practicing Leadership Coach, Business Mentor and qualified Counsellor.
